Social Media Specialist

We’re looking for a bright and budding part-time Social Media Specialist to join our team and work across our existing client base to help develop and implement growth. As a boutique agency, we want to invest in the right individual who wants to grow alongside our company. As a part-time role, the right candidate will be available three days a week, with office hours tailored to your individual lifestyle. This is a remote role (dress code: whatever you fancy) with one day per month (ideally) at our office located in Hamilton.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Assist with creating, curating, editing, and publishing awesome social media content across several channels (from Instagram to LinkedIn, and everything in between)
Community manage and grow social media accounts for a diverse group of clients
Guide influencer relations by researching new opportunities (ie. a deep Instagram creep), establishing new partnerships, and maintaining relationships with relevant social influencers
Stay on top of new social media trends, with an interest of how these could be adapted for our client roster
Monthly reporting on client KPIs
Maintain internal databases
BA degree in Communications or related field with 2+ years of working in a similar role to this one, with either a brand or agency
You are an expert when it comes to all things social media, social listening platforms, and social management tools. You’re the first of your friends to know when there’s a Facebook update or change in Instagram algorithms, and you know your way around HootSuite
You have experience growing a social media following and creating content that receives excellent engagement levels
You’re often recognized for your verbal, written, and editing skills. Leveraging these skills to improve your own creative work and those around you is something you genuinely enjoy.
Organization and time-management are strong suits of yours. Sticky notes, agendas, and good old-fashion planners are your best friend.
You like the balance of working both independently and cooperatively, with a close-knit team. You believe remote teams are the future. You have experience working in a remote culture or can adjust your work style to be remote-friendly (ie. you’re adaptable and easy going).
You’re familiar with and have used Google Analytics before (don’t panic, no need to be an expert)
Influencer marketing and/or social advertising experience is preferred (including creative, budgeting, and reporting), but not required. A willingness to learn is all you need.
Don’t forget to mention your graphic design + photography experience - it’s definitely a plus!
